Real Pißwasser and Patriot Beer Labels Approved Ahead of GTA 6

US records show label approvals for Pißwasser, Patriot and a "No Mames Vice City" lager from a Florida brewery. Rockstar has not said whether real GTA 6 beers are coming.

Two of Grand Theft Auto's best-known fake beers could soon be real. The US Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), which approves every beer label sold in the country, has signed off on labels for Pißwasser and Patriot, the long-running in-game brands.

What was approved?

All three labels were filed by Tripping Animals Brewing, a craft brewery in Doral, just outside Miami:

  • Pißwasser, 4.2% ABV, approved on September 29.
  • No Mames Vice City, a 6% lager with a dog in sunglasses on the label, approved on October 9.
  • Patriot, 4.2% ABV, approved on October 15.

Pißwasser and Patriot both go back to GTA IV and have been in the series' fake ads and bars ever since. It's less clear whether "No Mames Vice City" is a GTA 6 brand at all or simply the brewery playing on the name.

Is Rockstar selling GTA 6 beer?

Not officially, at least not yet. Neither Rockstar nor the brewery has announced anything, and there is no price, release date or list of stores. A label approval is a required step before a beer can be sold, but it doesn't mean one will be.

Given how much of the launch campaign is happening in Miami, from the rooftop "Welcome to Vice City" sign to the county vote on airport and port promotions, a limited run at Miami bars or launch events around November 19 seems the most likely outcome. We'll update this post if Rockstar confirms it. For the in-game companies, see our GTA 6 brands page.
