GTA 6 cars have not been named by Rockstar. Car names are almost never confirmed before launch, and the trailers only show vehicles in passing. But Grand Theft Auto has a garage of names it reuses in nearly every game, and many of them first appeared in the 2002 Vice City. Going back to Vice City makes their return even more likely.

This page lists the classic GTA vehicles we expect to see again. None is confirmed by name.

Which classic GTA cars will return?

Likely: these names have appeared in most 3D GTA games, often from Vice City onwards:

  • Infernus, the long-running supercar
  • Cheetah, a classic sports car that was a Vice City favourite
  • Banshee, a muscle-bodied sports car in almost every GTA
  • Sabre, a muscle car that had a Sabre Turbo in Vice City
  • Stallion and Voodoo, cruising cars that suit Vice Beach
  • Admiral and Washington, everyday sedans for the traffic

Speculation: a modern version of one of these, such as a new-generation Infernus, could feature in marketing or an early mission as a nod to 2002.

Which motorcycles will return?

GTA 6 trailers are full of motorcycles, from sport bikes in Vice City to choppers in Ambrosia. Likely returning bikes include the PCJ-600 sport bike, the Sanchez dirt bike, the Faggio scooter and a Freeway style cruiser. See our motorcycles page for the bikes seen so far.

Will GTA 6 use real car brands?

No. Rockstar always uses parody brands such as Grotti, Pegassi and Declasse. See GTA 6 vehicle brands for the brands spotted in the trailers.

Which new kinds of cars could appear?

Speculation: Leonida's setting suggests new vehicle types that fit modern Florida:

  • Lifted and mud-spattered trucks, like the one outside a garage in Watson Bay
  • Swamp buggies for Grassrivers
  • Golf carts and mobility scooters for retirement towns in the Keys
  • Electric sports cars, which are now common on real roads

Will there be classic 1980s cars?

The trailers mix modern traffic with plenty of older cars, including a green classic sports car that Jason and Lucia lean on at Vice Beach. Likely: GTA 6 includes a healthy number of 1980s and 1990s style classics, as a nod to the original Vice City era. Our car customisation page covers how you might restore and tune them.

FAQ

Unknown until launch. In past games, the fastest cars were usually supercars from the Pegassi or Grotti brands.

Are there classic cars in GTA 6?

Yes, older cars appear in the trailers, including classic sports cars and muscle cars around Vice City.
