A GTA 6 stock market has not been announced. GTA 5's stock market is still one of the most talked-about money systems in the series, though, and plenty of fans want it back. Leonida's satire of social media and online hype gives Rockstar a lot to work with.

How did the GTA 5 stock market work?

GTA 5 had two in-game exchanges, the LCN and BAWSAQ, reached through the in-game internet. Prices moved with in-game events. The most famous trick was Lester's assassination missions: you could buy a rival company's shares before a hit and sell them after the price jumped. Many players saved those missions until the end of the story for the biggest payout.

Will GTA 6 have a stock market?

Speculation: we think a stock market is likely, because the GTA 6 phone and in-game internet will need things to do, and the satire writes itself. A meme-stock craze or a crypto bubble would fit a game that already pokes fun at social media.

Rockstar might also leave it out, as Red Dead 2 did not have one. Treat any details as guesswork.
