GTA 6 heists are almost certain to be a core part of the game. Every trailer shows Jason and Lucia robbing places, and the official cast includes a seasoned bank robber who recruits talent for jobs. Rockstar has not explained how heist missions are structured, so the details below are our best expectations.

Are there heists in GTA 6?

Yes, robbery is the heart of the Grand Theft Auto 6 story. The trailers show Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos holding up convenience stores, wearing masks and making getaways with police on their tail. The setup is a Bonnie and Clyde style crime spree across Leonida.

What Rockstar has not shown is a full planned heist from start to finish. Based on GTA 5, we expect bigger set-piece jobs to sit alongside smaller stick-ups.

Who is Raul Bautista?

Raul Bautista is listed on the official site as a seasoned bank robber who recruits talent for jobs. That makes him the most likely heist organiser in the story, much like Lester in GTA 5.

We expect Raul to bring Jason and Lucia into larger jobs, but we do not know how many, what the targets are, or how his story ends. Avoid any list of named heist missions you see online before launch.

How will heists work in GTA 6?

If GTA VI follows GTA 5, heists will likely include:

  1. A setup phase where you scout the target
  2. Choices about approach, such as loud or quiet
  3. Crew picks that trade skill for a bigger cut

The getaway is where the new wanted system and police come in. The trailers show chases across highways, through swamps and over the Keys bridges, plus in-game social media posting clips of crimes. We expect witnesses and cameras to matter more than in past games, though the exact rules are not confirmed.

Can you rob stores in GTA 6?
