Jason Duval is one of the two playable protagonists in GTA 6, sharing the lead with his partner Lucia Caminos. Rockstar introduced him in the first trailer and fleshed him out on the official site alongside Trailer 2, painting him as a capable man who has never quite escaped the life he grew up in.
Who is Jason Duval in GTA 6?
Jason grew up surrounded by grifters and hustlers, the kind of upbringing that teaches you to read people and bend rules early. He later served in the army, which gives him a disciplined, practical edge that sets him apart from the chaos around him.
After leaving the military he drifted back toward crime. When we meet him he is working for local drug runners in the Leonida Keys, doing the jobs that keep small operations ticking over. He wants an easier life, but the easy money keeps getting harder.
Where does Jason live?
Jason lives in the Keys on property owned by Brian Heder, an old-school drug runner. Brian lets him stay rent-free in exchange for help with his business, an arrangement that keeps Jason close to trouble whether he likes it or not.
That base in the Keys suggests a lot of Jason's early story will play out among the islands, bridges and boat docks south of Vice City. We expect players to spend plenty of time on the water with him before the action moves north.
What is Jason's relationship with Lucia?
Jason and Lucia are a couple, and the trailers frame them as a Bonnie and Clyde style duo. Trailer 1 shows them robbing a convenience store together, and Trailer 2 leans hard into their romance and their growing reliance on each other.

Rockstar has not detailed how switching between the two leads will work.
