Vice City is GTA 6's main city, Rockstar's modern take on Miami. It is the busiest region of Leonida, packed with beaches, nightlife, crowds and a working port.

GTA 6 returns to Vice City, Rockstar's version of Miami and the largest city in the state of Leonida. This time it is a modern city, full of crowded beaches, glossy nightclubs, traffic jams and phones filming everything.
Vice City is where the trailers spend most of their time, so it is the region we know best. The interactive map shows its landmarks, from the beachfront to the port cranes.
What is Vice City in GTA 6?
Vice City is the main urban hub of Leonida. It first appeared in 2002's GTA Vice City, which was set in the 1980s. GTA 6 brings it into the present day, with influencers, livestreams and a far denser population than earlier versions. For the backstory, see our Vice City history page.
Which parts of Vice City have been shown?
The official trailers and screenshots show several distinct areas:
- Vice Beach and Ocean Drive: pastel hotels, neon signs, sand packed with people and a strip of bars and cafes.
- Downtown and the port: glass towers, highways, container cranes and cargo ships.
- Residential neighbourhoods: palm-lined streets, strip malls and convenience stores.
- Nightlife: clubs, strip clubs and parties lit by neon, linked to characters like Boobie Ike.
Who lives in Vice City?
Several of the supporting cast are Vice City locals. Boobie Ike is a local legend with real estate, a strip club and the Only Raw Records label. Dre'Quan Priest went from bouncer to producer at the label and wants to sign the rap duo Real Dimez, two best friends from high school with a viral hit.
We expect the city to be the centre of the music, money and nightlife side of the story, while the Keys and swamps handle the rougher, rural side.
How does it compare to the old Vice City?
The 2002 city was a compact 1980s playground. The GTA VI version looks far larger, more detailed and more crowded. If it follows GTA 5's approach to Los Santos, we expect interiors you can enter, plenty of side activities and a city that feels alive at every hour.
When can you visit Vice City?
Vice City opens up when GTA 6 launches on 19 November 2026. Until then, we will keep adding trailer spots to this page and the map as new footage appears.
