Downtown Vice City and the Port
Downtown Vice City is GTA 6's skyscraper district, with a large container port nearby. Both are shown in the trailers, while their exact layout is still our best reading.

On this page
Downtown Vice City is GTA 6's skyscraper district, a cluster of glass towers, elevated highways and busy streets, with a large container port close by. Together they form the business and shipping heart of the city.
The skyline and port cranes appear in the trailers. How the districts connect, and what each area is called in game, is our best reading for now. The interactive map shows the downtown and port landmarks spotted so far.
What is Downtown Vice City like?
Downtown is modelled on Miami's financial district and Brickell. The trailers show tall towers with lit-up windows, wide boulevards and heavy traffic. It looks more modern and much taller than the 2002 version of Vice City.
We expect this part of the city to hold banks, offices, high-end apartments and luxury stores. That makes it a natural target for the kind of jobs Raul Bautista, a seasoned bank robber, recruits talent for.

What is the Vice City port?
The port is a working shipping hub with container stacks, gantry cranes and cargo ships. It draws on PortMiami, one of the busiest ports in the real world. In GTA games, docks usually mean smuggling, shootouts and chases through narrow container lanes, and we expect the same here.

What can you do downtown?
Rockstar has not detailed downtown activities, so this is expectation:
- Bank and business robberies, see GTA 6 heists.
- Luxury shopping and high-end car dealerships.
- Rooftop views and helicopter flights over the skyline.
- Night drives along the highways, a classic GTA pastime.

How does downtown connect to Vice Beach?
In real Miami, causeways link downtown to Miami Beach across the bay. We expect a similar setup in GTA 6, with bridges carrying traffic from downtown to Vice Beach. The port likely sits on islands or a waterfront between the two.
Why does the port matter in GTA 6?
A story about crime in a Florida-style state almost has to pass through the docks. Smuggling is a big part of Jason's world in the Keys, and goods coming in by sea need somewhere to land. We expect the port to link the city side of the story with the island side, and to be one of the busiest action spots on the map. We will chart its container lanes and access roads after launch.
