GTA 6 PC Version Reportedly Planned for Early 2027

A GTA 6 PC version is reportedly in the works for early 2027, based on a press report published on October 13, 2026. Rockstar Games has not confirmed a PC release, and Grand Theft Auto VI is still only announced for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

We think the report is plausible, but until Rockstar speaks it remains unconfirmed.

What does the report say?

The report claims Rockstar is preparing a PC version of GTA 6 with an early 2027 target. No specific date, price or system requirements were included.

That would put the PC release only a few months after the console launch on November 19, 2026. Our GTA 6 PC release page tracks everything we know.

Is the report believable?

It fits Rockstar's history. GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 both launched on consoles first and arrived on PC later. A console first launch followed by a PC version is exactly what we would expect for GTA 6.

A gap of a few months would actually be shorter than usual for Rockstar. That is possible, but it is also the part we would be most cautious about until there is an official announcement.

What should PC players do now?

If you only play on PC, there is nothing to buy yet. There is no PC pre-order, store page or spec sheet.

If you want to play on day one, consoles are the only option. Our editions and price guide and performance guide can help you decide which version to pick.
