GTA 6 Preload Date Confirmed for November 12

The GTA 6 preload date is November 12, 2026. Digital owners of Grand Theft Auto VI on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S can start downloading the game a full week before it unlocks on November 19.

That gives players plenty of time to get the files installed and avoid launch night download queues.

Who can preload GTA 6?

Preloading is available for digital pre-orders on PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store. Both the Standard and Ultimate Editions are included, so it does not matter which version you bought. Our editions and price guide compares the two.

How big is the GTA 6 download?

Rockstar has not confirmed the file size. We estimate somewhere between 150 GB and 250 GB, and that is our estimate rather than an official figure.
