GTA 6's map size has not been officially revealed, but fan estimates based on trailer footage suggest Leonida is noticeably larger than GTA 5's map of Los Santos and Blaine County. A cautious fan range puts it somewhere between about one and a half and two and a half times the size of GTA 5.
That range is an estimate, not a fact. We will update this page with real measurements once the game is out. In the meantime, the interactive map shows how the regions spotted so far fit together.
How big is the GTA 6 map?
Rockstar has not given an official size. What we do know is that Leonida covers six regions: Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park. That is more distinct areas than GTA 5 had, which points toward a larger map.
How do fans estimate the map size?
Fans use a few methods, all of which come with error:
- Matching landmarks across trailer shots to sketch the coastline.
- Using road lengths, car speeds and building sizes as a scale.
- Comparing views of the skyline and coast from known spots.
- Lining up regions with their real Florida inspirations.
Each method gives a different answer, which is why estimates vary so much. Treat any precise square-mile figure you see online with caution.
How does GTA 6 compare to GTA 5?

Some fans think so, but it is too early to say. Red Dead Redemption 2 has a very large world, and comparisons depend on whether you count water. We will measure both properly once GTA 6 releases.
