GTA 6 Digital Pre-Orders Pass 6.45 Million, Sensor Tower Estimates

GTA 6 keeps climbing the pre-order charts four weeks before its November 19 release. The October 20 update of Sensor Tower's GTA VI sales tracker estimates about 6.45 million digital pre-orders, worth roughly $630 million after returns.
These are estimates from an analytics company, not official sales. Rockstar and Take-Two have not shared any pre-order numbers.
How much did pre-orders grow this week?
The previous update, on October 13, put the total at about 6.08 million copies and $594 million. That means roughly 370,000 extra pre-orders and about $36 million in spending in a single week, a little ahead of the 330,000 reported the week before. The week covered the launch trailer on October 15 and the confirmed November 12 preload.

PlayStation or Xbox?
PlayStation 5 still leads by a wide margin:
- PlayStation 5: about 4.8 million pre-orders (around 74%)
- Xbox Series X|S: about 1.66 million pre-orders (around 26%)
Xbox's share has crept up by a point or two since the summer, when PlayStation made up about 77% of the total.
What the numbers don't include
- Physical copies: the tracker only counts digital store pre-orders. Boxed copies, which contain a download code rather than a disc, are not part of it.
- PC: there is no PC version to pre-order yet. See our PC release page for what is known.
- Region: reports differ on whether the figures are worldwide or weighted towards the US, so treat the total as a rough guide.
Sensor Tower's earlier data also suggested that most buyers are choosing the more expensive Ultimate Edition. Our editions and price guide and pre-order bonuses page cover what each version includes.
