YouTubers Head to Miami for GTA 6 as Vanoss Crew Rents a Mansion

The Vanoss Crew is renting a Miami mansion for two weeks of GTA 6 launch videos, and says Rockstar already knows about it. Other creators are clearing their schedules too.

GTA 6 is set in Vice City, Rockstar's take on Miami, and some of YouTube's biggest GTA channels are heading to the real city for launch. The best known so far is the Vanoss Crew, which is renting a Miami mansion for about two weeks to film GTA 6 videos around release day.

The plans come from interviews the creators gave GamesBeat. Rockstar hasn't said anything about them publicly, so we mark this as likely.

What is the Vanoss Crew planning?

  • Who: Evan "Vanoss" Fong, Brian "Terroriser" Hanby and David "Daithi De Nogla" Nagle, three of the group's longest-running members. GTA has been a staple of their channels for more than a decade.
  • Where: a rented mansion in Miami, used as a base for in-person videos.
  • How long: roughly two weeks around the November 19 launch.
  • Why: Hanby told GamesBeat it is the biggest up-front spend the crew has ever put into a real-life shoot. Part of the idea is to show the game to fans who won't be able to buy it on day one.

Does Rockstar know?

According to Hanby, yes. He told GamesBeat that people at Rockstar are aware of the trip and have already asked for the names of everyone who will be there. Rockstar hasn't commented, and it hasn't confirmed the rumors that it will invite creators to parties and events in Miami before launch.

Other creators getting ready

The Vanoss trip is part of a wider rush:

  • Typical Gamer (Andre Rebelo) started a full GTA V story playthrough last month as a warm-up, with some streams passing 25,000 viewers at once, and moved on to San Andreas after it.
  • Other creators are joining GTA V roleplay servers such as NoPixel, starting channels that only cover GTA news, or clearing their calendars so they can post as soon as the game is out.
  • German streamer Zarbex has said he wants to rent a villa in Miami for a week with up to twelve other streamers, though the line-up isn't settled.

Talent managers quoted by GamesBeat compare the launch to a lottery ticket: the first weeks of a game this big can bring a channel a huge new audience, so creators want to be there from the start.

Why Miami?

Rockstar has spent the past few weeks turning Miami into a real-life Vice City. There is a "Welcome to Vice City" sign on the Kaseya Center, GTA-style cars on South Beach, and real Burger Shot and Cluckin' Bell stands inside the arena, on top of the county deal we covered in Miami-Dade Votes on How Far the GTA 6 Vice City Promotion Can Go. For a GTA channel, that makes the city a ready-made set.

It also helps that YouTube changed its ad rules in September: violent gameplay can now earn ad money as long as it isn't in the first few seconds of a video, which matters for a game like GTA.

GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. See the release date page for the countdown and what happens before then.
