GTA 6 easter eggs will very likely include references to the 2002 Vice City, returning series brands, parodies of famous Florida viral moments and the kind of hidden mysteries Rockstar has buried in every game. Players will not be able to verify anything until 19 November 2026, so this page lists what is shown, what is likely and what to hunt for.

Rockstar takes secrets seriously. GTA V's Mount Chiliad mystery kept people searching for years, and Red Dead Redemption 2 hid ghosts, a UFO and a vampire.

What easter eggs are in the GTA 6 trailers?

The trailers are packed with jokes, especially in the social media clips. Many are clear parodies of real viral Florida videos, which our trailer 1 breakdown and trailer 2 breakdown go through scene by scene.

Fans have also spotted Art Deco buildings and neon signs on the beach strip that feel like a direct nod to the original Vice City's Ocean Drive. The GTA 6 trailer landmarks page tracks where these are.

Will GTA 6 reference the original Vice City?

We think so, but carefully. GTA 6 is likely set in a different continuity, the HD universe, so the 2002 characters probably do not exist as such. That has never stopped Rockstar from leaving nods. Expect things like:

  • Buildings or businesses that echo the Malibu Club or a certain mansion.
  • Radio jokes or billboards referencing the 1980s.
  • Pastel suits or outfits in clothing stores.

What classic Rockstar easter eggs could return?

Rockstar has running in-jokes that turn up again and again. If GTA 6 follows tradition, look for:

  • Sasquatch or a Bigfoot style creature in Mount Kalaga's forests.
  • UFOs, perhaps over the swamps.
  • Ghosts or haunted locations, a Red Dead favourite.
  • Impotent Rage, the in-universe cartoon hero, or other TV jokes.
  • Epsilon, the parody cult from GTA V.
  • Cameos or brands linking back to Liberty City and Los Santos.

None of these is confirmed. They are simply the patterns Rockstar has used before.

How will we track GTA 6 easter eggs?

After launch we will log each verified find with its location on the interactive map, and mark anything unconfirmed clearly. If you spot something, the wildlife-heavy Grassrivers and remote parts of the map are good places to start, because Rockstar tends to hide its strangest secrets far from the city.

FAQ

Is there a Mount Chiliad style mystery in GTA 6?

Will Tommy Vercetti appear in GTA 6?

Nothing has been announced. Nods to the 2002 game are likely, but an appearance is unconfirmed.

Will GTA 6 have aliens or Bigfoot?

They have appeared in earlier Rockstar games, so it would not be a surprise, but nothing is confirmed.
