GTA 6 collectibles have not been revealed by Rockstar, so the types, numbers and rewards are all unknown. If GTA VI follows GTA V, though, you can expect several sets of hidden items across the map, each tied to a character, a story or a reward. Collectibles are the backbone of completion runs. They also push you into corners of the map you would never visit otherwise, which makes them a great excuse to explore.

What collectibles were in GTA 5?

GTA V's collectibles are the best guide to what Rockstar might do. They included:

• Spaceship parts, 50 pieces collected for Omega, which unlocked a special vehicle.
• Letter scraps, 50 torn pages that revealed a murder mystery when complete.
• Peyote plants, which let you play as animals in the later versions of the game.
• Nuclear waste and submarine pieces, gathered underwater.
• Stunt jumps and Under the Bridge challenges, which counted towards completion.

Each set had a small story or character attached, which made hunting them more fun than just ticking boxes.

What GTA 6 collectibles could Leonida have?

This is speculation, but Leonida's setting suggests some natural fits:

• Wildlife photos, given how much wildlife the trailers show.
• Underwater items off the Leonida Keys, where diving would make sense.
• Hidden items in the swamps of Grassrivers, reachable by airboat.
• Social media challenges, tied to the in-game social media feeds.
• Stunt jumps, a series tradition that almost always returns.

Will collectibles be needed for 100% completion?

In GTA V, many collectibles counted towards 100 percent completion and some did not. We expect a similar split in GTA 6. Rockstar usually ties the biggest sets to a reward such as a vehicle, weapon or outfit.

How will we track GTA 6 collectibles?

After launch, the Vice Map interactive map will add a layer for every collectible type, with filters and a checklist so you can tick each one off. Until then, no collectible locations are listed, because anything posted now would be guesswork.
