GTA 6 Ocean Drive at night is likely the most iconic cruise in the game: a slow run along Vice City's beach strip, lined with neon Art Deco hotels, packed sidewalks and nightclubs, all seen in the official trailers. The street name and exact layout are not confirmed, so this route is our expected version, which we will check on launch day.

The original 2002 Vice City made its Ocean Drive a legend. GTA VI's version looks bigger, brighter and much busier.

Where is Ocean Drive in GTA 6?

The beach strip sits in Vice Beach, the beach district of Vice City. It is modelled on Miami's South Beach, with a row of low-rise Art Deco hotels facing the sand and the ocean beyond.

What is the best Ocean Drive night route?

Here is our planned cruise, step by step:

  1. Start at the southern tip of the beach district, close to the water.
  2. Pick a convertible or a classic sports car and drop the roof if you can.
  3. Turn on a radio station that suits the mood. Our radio stations page tracks what is known.
  4. Drive north slowly along the beachfront road with the hotels on your left and the sand on your right.
  5. Pull over at the busiest stretch to watch the crowds and neon signs.
  6. Continue past the clubs, where queues and music spill onto the street.
  7. Loop back inland one block to see the quieter side streets, then return to the beachfront for a second pass.

When is the best time to cruise?

Late evening, shortly after sunset, should give you the best mix of neon and crowds. Rain is also worth trying. Wet roads in Rockstar games reflect light beautifully, and neon on a rainy street could be one of the best looking scenes in the game. See GTA 6 weather for more.

What can you do along the way?

Nightlife is the obvious stop. Clubs and bars line the strip, and our GTA 6 nightlife page covers what we expect inside. You will also find shops, restaurants and plenty of people filming each other, a nod to the game's in-game social media feeds.

Keep it slow. Crowds are dense in this area, and hitting pedestrians or speeding past police is a fast route to a wanted level.
