GTA 6 Gyms and Character Customization

GTA 6 gyms are real, at least as places: workout scenes appear in the official trailers. What Rockstar has not said is whether working out changes your character, or how far customization of Jason and Lucia will go. Most of this page is informed expectation, so read it that way.

Are there gyms in GTA 6?

Yes, gym scenes show up in Grand Theft Auto 6 footage, fitting a Vice City that is obsessed with beach bodies and social media. Whether you can walk into any gym and use the equipment is still unknown.

Will GTA 6 have body stats like San Andreas?

This is the big rumor. GTA San Andreas let CJ gain muscle, lose weight and build stamina. GTA 5 kept stamina and strength stats but dropped body shape changes. Red Dead Redemption 2 brought back weight changes based on how much Arthur ate.

If GTA VI follows that trend, we would expect:

• Stamina and strength stats that improve as you run, swim and lift
• Possibly visible changes to body shape over time
• Separate progress for Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos

None of this is confirmed. Treat it as a wish list grounded in Rockstar's past games.

How much character customization will GTA 6 have?

The story stars two fixed protagonists, so you will not design a face from scratch the way you might in an online mode. Customization in story mode is likely to focus on:

1. Clothing and outfits bought in shops
2. Haircuts and facial hair
3. Tattoos
4. Accessories like hats, glasses and jewellery

Will the gym matter for missions?

We do not know. In past games, stats affected things like how long you can sprint or how hard you punch. If Jason and Lucia each have stats, it is possible that some missions favour the stronger or fitter character, but that is pure speculation.
