Airboats and swamp wildlife are confirmed. The specific route, waterways and stops are our expectations, so treat this as a plan to test on launch day.

Where is Grassrivers in GTA 6?
Grassrivers is the wetland region of Leonida, inspired by Florida's Everglades. It is expected to sit inland from Vice City, with open sawgrass, winding channels and small islands of trees.
How do you get an airboat in GTA 6?
Airboats appear in the trailers, but how you get one is not confirmed. We expect them to be parked at docks and tour stops on the edge of the wetlands, just as boats were moored around GTA V's coast. Our GTA 6 boats page covers what is known.
What is the best airboat route through Grassrivers?
Here is our planned ride, step by step:
- Drive west out of Vice City until the suburbs give way to flat wetland.
- Find a dock or tour stop where airboats are moored at the edge of the swamp.
- Head out along the widest open channel first, to get a feel for how the airboat handles.
- Slow down near the tree islands, where wildlife is most likely to gather.
- Follow the narrower channels deeper in, watching for alligators on the banks.
- Look for flamingos and wading birds in the shallows as the water opens up again.
- Loop back towards the dock before dark, or carry on to the coast if the waterways connect.

What wildlife can you see on the route?

Is the swamp dangerous in GTA 6?
We expect so. Alligators are likely to attack if you fall in or get too close on foot, as predators did in Red Dead Redemption 2. Stay on the boat in the deeper channels and avoid jumping into the water.
