GTA 6 Weapon Customization: Attachments, Tints and Upgrades
GTA 5 let you add scopes and suppressors, and Red Dead 2 let you engrave your guns. Here is what weapon customisation could look like in GTA 6, from attachments to cosmetic finishes.

On this page
GTA 6 weapon customisation has not been shown. Rockstar has not revealed any gun store, attachment or upgrade menu. But GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 both had detailed weapon customisation, and GTA 6 is likely to build on them.
This page is our expectation, based on those games.
Can you customise weapons in GTA 6?
Likely. GTA 5 let you buy attachments and colours at Ammu-Nation, and Red Dead 2 had gunsmiths who could change parts and finishes. We expect GTA 6 to offer at least as much. See Ammu-Nation and gun shops.

Which attachments are likely?
Based on GTA 5:
- Scopes and sights, for longer range
- Suppressors, for quieter jobs and stealthier heists
- Extended magazines
- Grips and flashlights
Will there be cosmetic finishes?
GTA 5 had weapon tints, and Red Dead 2 had engraving and metal finishes. Speculation: GTA 6 offers paint, finishes and maybe Vice City themed designs, such as neon or pastel colours.

Will guns need maintenance?
Red Dead 2 made guns dirty with use, so you had to clean them. Speculation: a lighter version is possible, but most players found it a chore, so Rockstar may skip it in a fast-paced city game.
Can Jason and Lucia have different loadouts?
Speculation: each character may keep their own weapons, as GTA 5's three protagonists did. See combat.
