GTA 6 Ammu-Nation and Gun Shops
Ammu-Nation has sold guns in almost every GTA since Vice City. Here is whether it returns in GTA 6, where gun shops might be in Leonida and how buying weapons could work.

Ammu-Nation in GTA 6 has not been confirmed, but the chain has been part of Grand Theft Auto since GTA 3 in 2001, and it had stores all over the original Vice City. A Florida-inspired state without a gun store on every strip mall would feel out of character for the series.
This page covers what is likely, based on past games. Rockstar has not shown a gun shop in any GTA 6 trailer.
Is Ammu-Nation in GTA 6?
Likely. Ammu-Nation appeared in GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas, GTA 5 and GTA Online. GTA 4 is the odd one out, swapping it for back-room gun shops and dealers. Rockstar likes its recurring brands, and our GTA 6 brands page shows how many familiar names have already turned up in the trailers.
There is a small chance Rockstar swaps in a new local chain to fit Leonida, the way Red Dead 2 used gunsmiths in each town. Either way, expect somewhere to buy guns.
Where will gun shops be in Leonida?
Speculation: based on how GTA 5 spread its stores across the map, we expect:
- Several shops in Vice City, at least one per major district
- Roadside or strip-mall stores in Ambrosia and Port Gellhorn
- A hunting-focused outfitter near Mount Kalaga National Park
- Possibly a shop in the Keys, though the islands may rely on the black market

How will buying weapons work?
In GTA 5 you walked in, browsed the counter, and bought guns, ammo, armour and attachments, with more weapons unlocking as the story went on. Red Dead 2 added a catalogue and a gunsmith bench where you could clean and engrave weapons.
Likely: GTA 6 mixes both. Expect a store menu for guns and ammo, attachments, and maybe weapon maintenance or cosmetic engraving. Prices are unknown, and we will not guess them.
Will there be a shooting range?
GTA 5 had shooting range challenges at Ammu-Nation with bronze, silver and gold medals. Likely: a range returns, as it is a cheap way to teach the new gunplay. See our combat page for how shooting might feel.
Can you buy guns from dealers instead?
GTA 4 had back-alley gun dealers and GTA 5 had none in story mode. Speculation: given Jason's work in the Keys smuggling world, a black-market dealer, perhaps through the phone, would suit the story.
