GTA 6 Health, Armor and Healing
How will you stay alive in GTA 6? Here is what we expect from health, body armour, healing and what happens when you get wasted or busted, based on GTA 5 and Red Dead 2.

On this page
GTA 6 health and armour have not been explained by Rockstar. We have not seen a health bar, an armour meter or a hospital scene. But the basics have been stable across the series, and Rockstar's last two games give a clear guide.
Everything below is our expectation.
How does health work in GTA 6?
GTA 5 used a health bar that partly regenerated over time, with food, snacks and health packs to refill it. Red Dead 2 added cores that drained if you did not eat or sleep.
Likely: GTA 6 uses a health bar with partial regeneration, plus food and drinks to heal faster. See restaurants and fast food.

Is there body armour in GTA 6?
Body armour has been in every 3D GTA. Likely: armour returns, sold in gun shops and found during missions. See Ammu-Nation and gun shops.
What happens when you die in GTA 6?
In GTA, getting "wasted" sends you to the hospital and costs you money. Getting "busted" sends you to the police station. Likely: both return. Speculation: with Lucia's prison backstory, Rockstar could add more to getting busted, but nothing is confirmed.

Will skills affect health?
GTA 5's stamina and strength stats affected how long you could run and how hard you hit. See skills and stats.
Are there health packs?
GTA 5 had health packs lying around the world and in missions. Likely: something similar, perhaps first aid kits in stores and gas stations.
